The tale of a property affected by COVID 19!

This beautiful semi detached chalet bungalow is located on a popular road in Pagham, close to a duck pond which is home to a variety of wildlife including ducks, swans and signets who can often be round roaming the neighbouring gardens.

The owners bought this property as a project and worked their magic transforming it into a truly stunning home, with contemporary fittings, well thought out open plan accommodation and a glorious rear garden. This was their family home for many years, and it had such a lovely, welcoming feel to the property.

However, despite being perfect in every way, in our opinion!

We booked a staggering 88 viewings on this property and in total received 8 offers, over 2 separate marketing periods.

Why do you ask?

COVID 19 played havoc on the marketplace, causing buyers uncertainly, followed by a long lockdown and then when the market reopened there was such a huge backlog to clear, the solicitors, surveyors, local authorities were delayed for months!

The property was first listed with us in August 2019 and received a considerable amount of interest and offers, as well as some unfortunate fall throughs due to chains collapsing etc.

COVID 19 then hit and lockdown which resulted in us being unable to organise or attend any viewings.

The sellers were determined to resume marketing as they wanted a larger property for their children, and we re-advertised the property in August 2020 and achieved a sale which was then completed in July 2021.

It was an emotional roller coaster for all concerned but we are so pleased, after all the uncertainly and disappointment our clients found their dream home!
